Kevan the founder of MTS & SVM Started as an apprentice at J.C Greens garage in the 1970's from here he built up his skillset and learnt his trade throughout his 20's. In his mid 20s he had the opportunity to purchase the garage where it became Ironbridge Motor works and later 'severn valley motorsport'
1920's - J.C Greens garage later Ironbridge Autoworks
Founded in 1982 Severn Valley Motorsport Ltd the trading name of Madeley Testing station and our current performance wing was based down in Ironbridge gorge, we traded out of this small wooden unit unti the early 00's before moving into the centre of madeley where the busienss gained its new mechanical wing of Madeley Testing Station what focuses on retail and B2B Mot, Repairs & Servicing for any type of car & commercial in the Telford Area
1990s - Severn Valley Motorsport (Motorsport wing of MTS)
From the early 2000's to 2010's we opporated out of our Madeley facility with a larger site we increeaced our MOT and service offerings, with larger capacity for all types of new vehicles we had a lot more space to grow the buisness to a retail foot fall. We opporated here for 2 decades and still retain a lot of our customers to this day at our Dawley site
2010s - Severn Valley Motorsport & Madeley Testing Station
In the mid 2015's we moved to halesfield with a much larger rented site. This gave us real scope for opporations and again allowed us to increece mot capacity, commercials, performance and standard vehicle maintance. From here we have been able to grow our customer base even larger due to an increeced amount of trained staff, low waiting times for customers and quality care
2015 - Severn Valley Motorsport & Madeley Testing Station
In 2019 we was able to aquire a site due to increecing renting costs we decided the best next step for the business was to purchase a site. We was able to purchase a 1.6 acer site what use to be Shropshire Pine. From here we would have ample space to grow the buisness and invest capital and see a return, as it is a lot harder to grow a site when you dont own it. We have been constently improving the site since purchase, with a new road, building facia and a number of onsite improvments to make our service the best in Telford. We are now the largest indipendent site in telford for Servicing, Mots and repairs. With lots of scope for the future for growth, now a multi generational family buisness we look forward to our next chapters.
